If the puncture is in the repairable zone, the tyre goes back on the car the same visit. If it is not, the technician fits a replacement from the van or your spare, so you are not left on the road either way.
Plug, patch or plug-patch: what a proper repair is
The industry-standard permanent repair is a plug-patch (a combined stem and patch) fitted from inside the tyre after the hole is cleaned and buffed. An external string plug pushed in from outside is a temporary fix; it can work loose with heat and is not a substitute for an internal repair.
Because a mobile technician removes the tyre from the rim, the inside liner is inspected for hidden damage that a roadside plug would miss.
- Repairable: central tread, hole up to about 6 mm, tyre not driven flat
- Not repairable: sidewall, shoulder, cuts, bulges, overlapping repairs
- Valve stems are replaced if cracked; rubber valves harden in UAE heat
Why heat makes a quick repair more urgent in Dubai
An underinflated tyre flexes more, and in Dubai summer that extra flexing on a 60–70°C road surface builds heat fast enough to damage the sidewall from the inside. A tyre that loses 10 PSI over a week may look fine but can be weakened after one long run on the E311.
Repairing a slow puncture early keeps it in the repairable category; driving on it for days is what usually turns a simple repair into a new tyre.
- Check cold pressure weekly in summer
- A 10 PSI loss over a week means a leak, not just heat
What happens on a mobile repair visit
The visit follows a fixed sequence: locate the leak with soapy water, remove the wheel, demount the tyre, inspect inside, repair, remount, balance and refit with a torque wrench. Pressure is set to the value on your door placard before the technician leaves.
A single puncture repair usually takes 25–40 minutes on site.
- Send your location pin on WhatsApp and the technician comes to you
- Tell us the tyre size so a replacement is on the van if needed
- We check your other three tyres and the spare while on site
Run-flat and low-profile tyres
Run-flat tyres are fitted as standard on many BMW, MINI and some Mercedes models, and most tyre manufacturers advise against repairing a run-flat that has been driven at zero pressure. If the TPMS warned you early and the tyre was not driven flat, an inspection decides whether a repair is acceptable.
Low-profile tyres (40-series and below) on 19–22-inch wheels need careful mounting to avoid rim damage, and our technicians use leverless mounting heads for these.
- Run-flat repair only if the tyre was not driven deflated
- Leverless mounting protects 19–22-inch alloy rims
Areas we cover for mobile tyre repair
We cover every Dubai area, including high-rise districts, villa communities and industrial zones such as Al Quoz, Ras Al Khor and Jebel Ali. Puncture calls are most common around construction-heavy areas like JVC, Arjan, Dubai South and Business Bay, where screws and nails end up on the road.
- Basement repairs possible where van headroom allows
- Roadside repairs on main roads are done only where the shoulder is safe
