The repair price is confirmed on WhatsApp after you send a photo. If the damage is outside the repairable zone, we tell you why and fit a replacement or your spare in the same visit.
The repairable zone, explained simply
A puncture is repairable only if it sits in the crown of the tread, roughly between the outer main grooves, and the hole is no larger than about 6 mm. The shoulder and sidewall flex constantly, so a patch there will not hold and the tyre must be replaced.
Two repairs too close together, or a repair overlapping an old one, also mean replacement.
- Nail or screw in the centre: usually repairable
- Cut longer than 6 mm or a tear: replace
- Anything in the sidewall: replace
- Driven flat with crease marks inside: replace
Why we demount the tyre instead of plugging it on the car
An external plug fitted with the tyre still on the car cannot show what happened inside, such as liner damage from driving low or a second object. Demounting allows the technician to buff and seal the inner liner so air cannot migrate into the tyre's steel belts, which is what causes later separation.
This is the method tyre manufacturers specify for a permanent repair.
- Inner liner inspected for crease and heat damage
- Wheel rebalanced after the repair
Slow punctures and the TPMS light
A slow puncture typically drops pressure by 2–5 PSI a day and often appears as a TPMS warning that returns a few days after topping up. In UAE heat, tyre pressure also rises by roughly 1 PSI for every 5–6°C, which can hide a slow leak during the afternoon and reveal it in the morning.
Check cold pressure in the morning and compare it against the door placard; a repeat loss means a leak, not just temperature.
- Leaks also come from corroded valves and rim bead seats
- We find the source with soapy water before deciding on a repair
Puncture sealant cans and repair kits
Many new cars ship with a sealant and compressor kit instead of a spare. Sealant can get you to a safe place, but it coats the inside of the tyre and the TPMS sensor, and some sensors need replacing after sealant use.
Tell us if sealant was used so the technician can clean the tyre properly and check the sensor before repairing.
- Sealant is a get-you-home measure, not a repair
- Most kits are rated for around 80 km at up to 80 km/h
