Performance
Triangle's newer passenger tyres give acceptable dry grip and stable behaviour at legal UAE highway speeds, but they reach their limits earlier than mid-range tyres and give less feedback before sliding. Wet braking is the weakest area, which matters in the first rain of the UAE winter when oil residue makes roads slippery.
The TR292 all-terrain is surprisingly capable on gravel and compacted sand, though noisy on tarmac above 100 km/h.
Durability
Expect 25,000–40,000 km from Triangle passenger tyres in UAE conditions and 35,000–50,000 km from the TR259 and TR292 on SUVs and pickups. The carcass construction is robust, reflecting the company's truck-tyre background, but the tread compound wears faster in summer heat.
As with any budget tyre, check the DOT code: Triangle stock in the region can be older, and tyres more than five years past their DOT date are commonly rejected at inspection.
In UAE conditions
Triangle suits UAE drivers whose priority is the lowest cost: cars used for short trips, vehicles being prepared for sale, and work pickups on construction sites. For families who regularly drive the E11 at 120–140 km/h, a Korean or Japanese mid-range tyre adds meaningful safety margin for a modest extra cost.
Keep pressures correct in summer and inspect for bulges after hitting potholes or kerbs.
Typical price per tyre
Typical fitted price per tyre: AED 150–230 for 14–16 inch sedan sizes, AED 220–320 for 17–18 inch sizes and AED 280–480 for SUV, pickup and all-terrain sizes. Confirmed on WhatsApp.
