Performance
Cooper's Discoverer AT3 4S is one of the more road-friendly all-terrains: its four-season compound and Whisper Grooves keep noise down, and US consumer tests have rated its on-road handling above many rivals. Off-road it is competent on sand and gravel, though less tough on sharp rock than the BFGoodrich KO2.
The STT Pro is a true mud-terrain with three-ply sidewalls for heavy off-road use, while the Zeon 4XS Sport is a road-biased SUV tyre with sharper steering.
Durability
Cooper SUV tyres are known for long life: 55,000–75,000 km is realistic for the Discoverer AT3 4S on a UAE Patrol or Land Cruiser with regular rotation. The STT Pro wears faster on tarmac, often 40,000–50,000 km.
Cooper's LT-construction sizes have higher load ratings and stiffer sidewalls, which matter for pickups that tow boats or carry camping gear into the desert.
In UAE conditions
Cooper is a strong fit for UAE owners whose 4x4s are mostly on the highway but go to the desert a few times a month. The AT3 4S is comfortable on long Dubai–Liwa drives and handles soft sand well at 15–18 PSI.
For heavy American pickups used for towing, the AT3 XLT's LT construction tolerates summer heat under load better than a passenger-rated tyre. Check DOT dates: some imported Cooper sizes sit longer in regional warehouses.
Typical price per tyre
Typical fitted price per tyre: AED 450–650 for 17-inch SUV sizes, AED 600–900 for 18–20 inch sizes and AED 800–1,100 for LT and mud-terrain sizes. Confirmed on WhatsApp once you share the size.
