At-home service is most useful for planned changes: tyres reaching 1.6 mm tread, tyres past their five-year DOT age before RTA renewal, or switching to a quieter or longer-lasting model.
How booking a home tyre change works
Booking takes three messages: your tyre size (from the sidewall, e.g. 225/55 R18), your preferred brand tier, and your location pin. You receive a tyre quote, confirm a time, and the technician messages when on the way.
Evening and early-morning slots are popular in summer because the work is more comfortable before 10 am or after sunset, though we fit at any hour.
- Labour from AED 100 per visit for the tyre change
- Balancing, new valves where needed and disposal included in fitting
- Pay on completion by card, cash, Apple Pay, Tabby or Tamara
Villa driveways versus apartment car parks
Villa driveways are the easiest setting: flat paving, space to park the van alongside, and no access approval needed beyond the community gate pass. In gated communities such as Arabian Ranches, The Meadows or Damac Hills, register the visit through the community app so security lets the van in.
Apartment buildings vary. Some allow service vehicles into the basement; others ask us to work at visitor parking or street level, in which case you bring the car up or hand over the key.
- Register the visit in the community app for gated villas
- Share the tower name and parking level for apartments
Is a home tyre change done to workshop standard
Yes: the van carries a tyre changing machine and a computerised wheel balancer, so the tyre is mounted and balanced exactly as it would be in a bay. The only job we do not perform at home is four-wheel alignment, which requires a fixed laser rig.
If your old tyres wore unevenly on one edge, we recommend an alignment at a partner workshop within the first week so the new set does not wear the same way.
- Torque wrench finish on every wheel nut
- Hub faces cleaned of rust and sand before the wheel goes back on
When a home tyre change is the better choice
Home service makes the most sense when the car should not be driven, such as tyres with exposed cords, a sidewall bulge, or a cracked tyre that is over five years old. It also helps families with one car, people working from home, and owners of cars that are rarely driven and have aged tyres.
Driving a car with a bulging tyre to a shop risks a blowout on the way, especially in summer heat.
- Visible cords or a sidewall bulge: do not drive
- Cracked tyres over five years old: replace at home
Choosing tyres before the visit
For Dubai use, look at heat resistance and tread life before outright grip, because most driving here is dry highway and city traffic. Touring tyres from Michelin, Bridgestone or Continental last longest; Hankook, Yokohama and Toyo offer strong value in the mid-range.
Send us your car model and typical weekly kilometres, and we suggest two or three options at different prices.
- Commuting 500+ km a week: prioritise treadwear rating
- Mostly short city trips: prioritise comfort and low noise
