Performance

Hankook's Ventus S1 evo3 is the brand's headline tyre: in several European magazine tests it has finished within a few metres of Michelin and Continental in braking, at a much lower price. It feels precise at highway speeds and handles summer temperatures well.

The Ventus Prime 4 is the comfort-oriented sedan tyre and gives good wet grip for its price. On SUVs, the Dynapro HP2 offers stable highway handling, while the Dynapro AT2 gives strong traction on sand and gravel with acceptable road noise.

Durability

Hankook tread life is good for the price but not at the top of its class. A Ventus Prime 4 on a Sonata typically lasts 40,000–50,000 km in UAE conditions, and the Ventus S1 evo3 gives around 30,000–40,000 km on sporty sedans.

The Dynapro AT2 is notably robust, with a reinforced sidewall and cut-resistant compound for rocky wadi tracks in Hatta and Ras Al Khaimah. Regular rotation every 10,000 km helps Hankook SUV tyres wear evenly.

In UAE conditions

Hankook compounds are developed with hot-climate testing, and Ventus tyres stay composed on 60–70°C summer asphalt. On long E11 runs, keep pressure at placard levels; underinflated performance tyres overheat quickly in UAE summer.

For sand, choose the Dynapro AT2: it works well at 15–18 PSI in soft dunes. The Dynapro HP2 and Ventus S1 evo3 SUV are road tyres and should stay on tarmac or firm gravel.

Typical price per tyre

Typical UAE price per Hankook tyre with mobile fitting for 16–20 inch sizes. Ventus Prime 4 in 16 inch is the entry point; Ventus S1 evo3 SUV and iON evo in 20 inch reach the top. Your exact quote is confirmed on WhatsApp after you share the size.

Hankook has won OE approvals from BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, Volkswagen, Ford, Toyota and Hyundai-Kia, and it is the official tyre supplier to the FIA Formula E championship from the Gen3 era starting in 2023. Its iON range was among the first full tyre families developed specifically for electric vehicles.

In the UAE, Hankook is one of the strongest value propositions: its Ventus tyres often perform close to premium brands in independent tests while costing 25–40% less. The Dynapro range covers SUVs and 4x4s, including the popular Dynapro AT2 for desert driving.

FAQ

Questions drivers ask us

Where are Hankook tyres made?

Hankook tyres are made in South Korea (Daejeon and Geumsan), China, Indonesia, Hungary and the United States (Tennessee). Tyres sold in the UAE most often come from the Korean, Chinese and Indonesian plants.

Hankook tyre price in UAE

Hankook tyres in the UAE typically cost AED 280–950 per tyre fitted for 16–20 inch sizes. The Ventus Prime 4 starts around AED 300, and the Ventus S1 evo3 for sports sedans starts near AED 420.

Is Hankook a good tyre brand?

Yes, Hankook is a well-regarded mid-range brand with OE approvals from BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi and Porsche. Its Ventus tyres often perform close to premium brands in tests, making it one of the best value choices in the UAE.

Is Hankook better than Kumho?

Hankook generally edges Kumho on wet grip, OE approvals and refinement, while Kumho is usually 10–20% cheaper. For performance sedans, Hankook's Ventus S1 evo3 is the stronger pick; for budget commuting, Kumho offers good value.
